Hawaii Five-0 2.22 “Ua Hopa” Review

The series is a favorite among action aficionados as the adrenalin feels pumped every minute throughout the episode. The story plot is tight and hardly has any loopholes. The display of strength of character by the actors and their love for each other entertains the audience every second. There are various highlights of the episode that need special mention. All these highlights exemplify the expertise of the director to keep the audience ready for surprise and action. Introduction of characters at the right time and re-introducing the old characters to keep up with the fast pace of the series leave the audience guessing the possible move. The mood is best set for the finale next week.

The highlights that touched the audience honestly are;

1. Wo Fat has finally met his fate. He is seen sulking in a corner of prison, perhaps scheming against the people who got him there. His scheming brain should not be allowed to rest and give away so easily.

2. The mysterious lover in the life of Kono comes out to be Adam. With this, the viewer’s choice Anthony Dale will be seen around to woo the audience with his macho appeal and brave tactics. Though his attempt to live good life was remarkably good, what brought him back to the bad world is yet to be discovered.

3. The airport scene where Kono puts a brave act by saving Adam’s life from the traitor in his team, his lawyer is full of action and drama. Kono sweeps away all the brownie points by displaying the selfless act towards the person who was once set for kidnapping her.

4. Alex O’Loughlin’s comeback has brought the life to character of Steve. He was able to pull off the show earlier in this season when he overpowered Wo Fat with both brain and muscle.

5. The tussle between Danny and CIA is another show-puller. Though audience finds it hard to digest that intelligence of CIA fails in the hands of this macho but action at the expense of CIA’s failure also is equally enjoyable. The governor’s reaction on CIA’s action plan to save Steve from the hands of Yakuza is going to be another brow-raiser in the coming episodes.

Overall, the audience gives thumbs up to the makers for conceiving a tight screen play. The grim situations created in the episode have set the mood for the coming finale week. It is estimated to be furious and heated in exact contrast to the tone in which the season started.
