Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin)
Best known for his earlier role in Oyster Farmer, Alex O’Loughlin is an Australian actor born on August 24, 1976. After his debut in the film Oyster Farmer, O’Loughlin landed roles in The Shield as Kevin Hiatt and as Mick St. John in moonlight. His performance in the two said roles are just some of his notable performances.
His career started in 2004 and he has accepted various projects since then. He received a nomination for the Beast lead Actor in Television given to him by the Australian Film Institute Awards back in 2005 for his portrayal in a mini-series entitled The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant.
He also took home the Most Outstanding Actor in Drama Series award in 2006 from the Logie Awards. O’Loughlin also appeared in TV shows like The Shield, Moonlight, Criminal Minds and Three Rivers.
